Why choose biological cleaners?
Bacteria - or microbes - exist everywhere. From soil and lakes to your office desk and even inside your digestive system. They're vital to all life on earth. There are however, good bacteria and bad bacteria. Biological cleaning products - such as our Save Water Ecocleaners - are live solutions jam packed with good bacteria. Once this invisible army of beneficial bacteria comes into contact with a food source, i.e. dirt, it begins to rapidly reproduce, digesting organic waste and out-performing any pathogenic (bad) bacteria. The growth and spread of bad bacteria is halted until the good bacteria fully take over, ridding surfaces of almost any trace of dirt, odour and pathogens.
What's the difference between anti-bacterial and biological cleaning products?
There is a major difference. In brief, antibacterial products don't discriminate between good and bad bacteria; they leave a trail of destruction as they kill all the good microbes along with the bad. Bio products on the other hand, harness the power of good bacteria to combat and eliminate the bad bacteria.
These harsh anti-bacterial products are great for a quick, short term wipeout, but within a short time period (sometimes a matter of minutes), the surface will become contaminated again. Whereas in bio cleaning, only friendly bacteria traces will remain on a surface even hours after use. This key difference means that not only do surfaces remain cleaner for longer with a biological product, but the product also continues to clean long after it has been applied (residual cleaning), making biological cleaning products much more cost-effective in the long run.
